Water buffalo on the loose in Arizona!

CLOSE TO TUCSON - A water buffalo roamed the streets of a Tucson suburb for nearly two hours Monday before being tranquilized and captured by wildlife officials.

The female buffalo, weighing between 600 and 800 pounds, was first spotted at about 10:30 a.m. in a residential area of Oro Valley, according to Pima Animal Care Center spokesman Jay Octavio.

It took three tranquilizer darts from a distance to finally bring the animal down.

Officials believe the buffalo escaped from a nearby farm, but the owners have not yet been located. It's unclear what will happen to the animal now that it's been caught.
